Artisan Boatworks – Update

Boatyard Update – COVID-19

We wanted to reach out to all of our friends and clients during this time of uncertainty regarding COVID-19 (coronavirus), and let you know what steps we are taking to protect our family, employees, and community.

The shop is well-equipped with modern fresh air exchangers, medical type protective equipment, and ample space for our crew to work at safe distance from one other; so in anticipation of a busy launching and commissioning season we are extremely fortunate to be able to continue operating at full capacity.

Shared surfaces are being disinfected regularly and we are encouraging our employees to follow all recommended precautions. With schools closed, Erin and I are splitting our days between work and home and allowing our employees flexibility to do the same.

On the bright side, our family is spending lots of quality time together homeschooling and hopefully getting NORA in the water early. We imagine that our clients are also looking forward to the boating season, and we want you to know that the majority of our spring commissioning work is already completed and we will be reaching out in a few weeks to schedule your launch dates.

Going forward we will continue to monitor guidelines and do whatever we can to keep our family, employees, and community safe. Our hearts go out to those who are sick or quarantined and to the small businesses that are suffering. We will go out of our way to support those local small businesses, just as we are grateful now to our clients who continue to support us throughout these uncertain times.

Kind Regards,

Alec and Erin Brainerd
Artisan Boatworks
