6th Annual Elf Classic Yacht Race Annapolis ~ St. Michaels Saturday, May 14, 2016
Join ELF and other classic sailing yachts for the 6th annual ELF Classic Yacht Race in 2016 – a true yachtsman’s race. The Eastport Yacht Club in Annapolis will serve as the departure point for this sailing classic to the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michaels, scheduled for Saturday, May 14, 2016.
This Classic Yacht Restoration Guild event recreates the traditions of yacht racing of the 1880’s when the races began on shore, included rowing to the boat on mooring or anchor, making sail and reversing the process at the finish, signing the race log on the grounds of the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum.
