The ship Ivanhoe went to sea yesterday. The bark Henry Buck sails to-day for Port Hadlock. The schooner Comet docked yesterday at Unionstreet wharf. The ship J. B. Brown went to sea yesterday, sailing for Departure Bay. The ship Gerard C. Tobey shifted yesterday from the Sugar Refinery to Spear-street wharf. The barkentine S. K. Castle went to sea yesterday laden with merchandise for Honolulu. The schooner Ida McKay came out Of Oakland Creek yesterday and docked at Union-street wharf.
Notice to Mariners
San Luis Obispo Bay — Whistling buoy off Port Harford moved to a position near Souza rock – The whistling-buoy off Port Harford, San Luis Obispo Bay, California, has been moved to a position near Souza rock (recently discovered by fishermen). The buoy is now moored in 19 fathoms of water, about 80 yards from Souza rock, and lies with the following bearings: Whaler, island, N. 21° 08′ W.; Pecho rock. N. 50= 40 7 W-; White, rock, in range with Souza rock. N. 37° 56′ E. Note. — Souza rock is small in extent, very steep to, and there is but sixteen feet over it at low water. Mariners are recommended to leave the whistling-buoy to the eastward in passing.
