Portofino Rolex Trophy – Tuiga Wins 15m IR

Tuiga (1909), the Yacht Club de Monaco’s 15M IR yacht helmed by Pierre Casiraghi has just won the Portofino Rolex Trophy (17th-19th September 2015), organised by the Yacht Club Italiano.

Portofino 19th September 2015 – Portofino gave participants another day with perfect weather, sunny skies and a sirocco wind that blew all day in 15 knots of intensity. Also today, the Committee was able to kick off in two races, games respectively at 11 and 30 and at 13:30.

Tuiga, the 15 Metre Yacht Club de Monaco, Pierre Casiraghi at the helm, won the first race, followed by Hispania and Mariska. In the second test to assert itself was Mariska, followed by Hispania and Tuiga. The Lady Anne could not race because of damage.

Between 5:50 YES excellent placement for CinqueCinque Maria Cristina Rapisardi who has two wins out of two, followed in both races by Carabella Alfredo Delli in second position and Whisper Richard Leupold, third.

At the end of three days of racing, in the overall standings Tuiga states among the 15 Metre International Rule and CinqueCinque between 5.50 meters Tonnage International: both are awarded the Rolex Trophy reserved for the respective classes.
