In this week’s WoW we show the exciting start to the 2015 Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race on Boxing Day on Sydney Harbour, we get the weather forecast and Ken Read the skipper of the giant US Super-Maxi Comanche gives us the changes made to the yacht since last year’s race, Swiss yachtsman Eric de Turckheim of Teasing Machine tells boatson.tv of his sail to Antarctica in his other 90 foot yacht with a mate so that they could have the first “Antarctic Regatta” in two skiffs that they carried on the maxi, now there’s a sailing story that will put a big smile on your face. In the Trophy Jules Verne bot French Maxi-Tris have passed cape Horn and are travelling up the coast of Brazil and IMOCA 60 skipper Jeremie Boyou of Maitre CoQ talks to boatson.tv about the design changes required to strengthen the boats to make them competitive for the Vendee Globe next November.
