  1. Hi friends, Back in 1964/65 I was Maitre de Voile Sailing Master in Cambria, which was an articled ship on the Lloyds register necessitating a sailing master when using the sail. George Plouvier a very good man employed me and I rounded up a crew of yachtsmen in Cannes for the trip down to pick up’ Salvatore Dali the great artist for a sail. The Artist wished to see Cambria leave under sail with a Sirrocco arriving and we carried full bundle main, genoa staysail and flying jib in a full blow for 2 days, exciting passage .My buddy from Norway Ulf was my right hand man and in the difficult seaway the flying jib parted became a sea anchor nearly took the mast out.We carried sail to Palma and then Gibraltar. I have a photograph of myself at the original wheel of Cambria a great yacht and a part of my life.I have a 30 ‘ yacht for company and have owned SPICE RACING CARS for over 20 years with a factory in Germany and East Ukraine. Some interesting things occurred on the Cambria. It was great to be moored alongside Zacha Errol Flynn,s former great schooner at Palma. Best wishes to all involved with the good ship Cambria, John Tainui Deller,
