The 1935 Sparkman & Stephens designed “Sonny” wins the first regatta of the North American Panerai Classic Yacht Challenge series.
Once again the Corinthian Yacht Club of Marblehead, Massachusetts served as the gracious host of this wonderful event. Forty-eight yachts competed during the Corinthian Classic Yacht Regatta under challenging conditions. The magnificent yacht “Altair,” the pride of the old 1920s Gloucester fishing schooner fleet “Columbia” (replica) and General Patton’s 1939 vessel “When and If” were some of the grand vessels in attendance.
