The Wally Nano – a contemporary-classic daysailer developed in partnership with Hoek Design and Luca Bassani. This 37-foot boat represents a unique combination of classic lines with the most advanced construction technology, design techniques and sailing features.
The Wally Nano mark II is now under construction at Doomernik Yachts (NL) and nearing completion. Construction uses the latest advanced composite technology with a sandwich of carbon fibre and epoxy resin.
The mast and boom are also in carbon fibre, resulting in a displacement of just 2,600 kg (5,720 lbs). The hull design has been extensively researched and tested with VPPs and CFD analysis. A spectacular aft transom overhang and plumb bow create a long water line with a magnificent retro look. The flush deck is entirely in teak and a cabin top with vertical glass sides provides an inside-outside living concept.
The deck features a large open cockpit with integrated aft deck, resulting in a large sunbathing area. The Wally Nano can be sailed single handed, with a self-tacking jib and electric winches.. You have two keel options: a Mediterranean version with a 2.60m draught and a Solent version with a 2.20m draught.
