Mystic Seaport – Late yesterday evening a four-alarm fire broke out at Seaport Marine, our neighbors down the river. We are sending our thoughts and wholehearted support to the Seaport Marine family and welcome anyone directly affected by the fire to reach out to our Shipyard for assistance during this very difficult time.
Mystic Seaport Museum has received several messages with concern that the Museum was the site of this fire. The Museum and the Museum’s Shipyard were not impacted by the fire in any way. The location of the fire was approximately one mile from the Museum.
As a community, let us all unite to support our friends and neighbors at Seaport Marine as they overcome this tragedy.
Thank you to Mystic Fire Department – Official, Old Mystic Fire Department (Official), and all of the nearby Fire Departments, EMS, Police, Dispatchers & Department of Public Works.
