Historical:
The “Newport 29” class was designed as a successor to Sadie, and improved Alerion. The Newport 29 was enlarged by 33% with a deeper fixed keel, with cruising accommodations.
Re-creation:
A structural redesign by Herreshoff Designs, brother’s Robert and William Yaro have commissioned Brion Rieff of Brooklin, ME to construct a new Newport 29.
