PVD is the closest and most convenient airport approx. 35-40 minutes from Newport, but with more limited direct flights. Boston is approx. 90 minutes from Newport (and can hit bad traffic), but has more international and direct flight options. JFK in New York City is approx. 3.5 hours, but has the most options and often least expensive international flights. Newark Airport(EWR) is similar to JFK in distance and options.
