2013 34th America’s Cup: Team USA Wins! Hats off to New Zealand, a formidable contender, true champions on all levels, pioneering the foil tack, and foiling to windward, with the use of ‘Stability Augmentation Systems’ (SAS) sensors, Accelerometers and Gyros which can detect and instigate corrections to stability. To all of the New Zealand’s Team Emirates crew’s, families and afterguard for all of there support in making this event epic.
This 34th America’s Cup has been revolutionary! A spectator friendly event with boats reaching 50 miles and hour! A gallant recovery, lead by Jimmy Spithill’s reinforcing confidence in his crew and afterguard, reassuring the abilities of his support crew in making the boat faster each and every race, and to Larry Ellison’s big vision.
The only unanswered question going forward is what will happen next!
