Europe Week Classic Regatta (July 15TH – 22ND, 2014)

The week long regatta starts in Sandefjord, a maritime city on the south coast of the Oslo fjord located 120 south of Oslo. Sandefjord is a modern town with great variation and has an interesting history, beautiful nature together with a variety of cultural happenings.
After two days of racing in Sandefjord, the boats sail across the Oslo fjord July 18, some 30 nautical miles to Son. Here the participants will be guests in a small historic 16th century harbour which is well known for the wooden houses and narrow alleys from the Dutch period. Son has a rich history and is known for the artist, business community and the maritime location.
July 20 the regatta continues with a race from Son to Oslo. Oslo is the economic and governmental centre of Norway. The city is also a hub of Norwegian trade, banking, industry and shipping. It is an important centre for maritime industries and maritime trade in Europe.
July 21 and 22 offer racing in Oslo, and here the Europe Week will end with a farewell dinner and party July 22.
