Who Is Zero Mass Water?
Zero Mass Water is the manufacturer of the solar powered SOURCE Hydropanels, an advanced new technology that creates clean, renewable drinking water directly from sunlight and air. SOURCE Hydropanels look like solar panels but instead of making electricity, the Hydropanels make fine drinking water.
Entirely off-grid, SOURCE extracts water vapor from the air to make, mineralize, and deliver safe, great-tasting drinking water to a tap while offsetting the energy and waste of bottled and purified water. SOURCE is renewable water ownership designed to increase water security and supply resilience.
How does SOURCE work?
Water vapor is in the air all around us. SOURCE taps into this inexhaustible supply.
- Using solar PV, SOURCE takes in ambient air via fans and adsorbs water vapor from that air onto a special material;
- Heat generated from solar thermal drives a process of condensation inside the Hydropanel, converting the adsorbed water into pure, liquid water. Because the special materials inside SOURCE only attract water molecules, SOURCE water starts pure, similar to distilled.
- This pure water flows into the integrated 30-liter reservoir where it is mineralized with magnesium and calcium.
