October 26,2014 Gibson Island, Maryland – Forty-Seven year old 210 wins at Gibson Island – Tom Price takes first place on the 1967 build number 384 “Egret.” Have an old 210 you think is not competitive, think twice and hitch up that old clunker and drive her down to the next regatta.
Normally October is a time for shoring up and storing boats for the Winter, Gibson Island is experiencing its busiest time of the year with five visiting clubs, including the New York Yacht Club, all vying for a slice of Gibson Island heaven.
Last years Last Chance, this years One Design Invitational Regatta was an event, and location not to be missed. 210class.com – “Perfect Fall weekend with 2 days of NW breeze ranging from 12 to 18 knots on Saturday and 18 to 25 with gusts on Sunday. Won by Tom Price sailing “Egret” 384 with 1,2,2,1,1. Sandy Yellot, sailing “Double Eagle”, was second and Court Jenkins sailing “Longtail” was Third. Visitor from Newport RI, Tom Lemaire was 4th in “Quatro”. Because of strong winds and old boats, we decided to sail non spinnaker on Sunday. The Chesapeake at it’s Fall best!”

Gibson Island Yacht Club to Host Inaugural OD Regatta. GIYC founded in 1924, is located on one of the most beautiful natural harbors on the East Coast of the United States, between the Chesapeake Bay and the Magothy River, near Annapolis, MD.
The One Design Invitational Regatta , is a two day race for members of the International 210 class.

0930 Skippers meeting at Boathouse
1100 Attention for first race. Subsequent races to be held as soon as possible thereafter.
1700 Post race party at the Boathouse.
Sunday
1100 Attention for the first race. Subsequent races to follow. No warning after 1500.
1630 Awards ceremony.
