A small cruising boat with many advantages of cat boats, but without the drawbacks. In Mr. Herreshoff’s words “when the sheets are properly attended, one can keep her perfectly under control, and she will steer easily under most conditions. In fact, she can often be made self-steering by slacking the mizzen sheet. Of course, there are sheets to tend when tacking ship, and a properly shaped cat yawl is a notably fast craft.”
