Historical:

Built in Hamburg, Germany by H. Heidtmann, in a record four months. Upon completion Carina was shipped to Kretzer Boat Works of City Island, New York for finishing touches. Twelve days later, Carina entered the 1955 Transatlantic Race to Sweden. She won the race on both elapsed and corrected time.

Carina II was consider to be Phil Rhodes’ all-time favorite yacht.
