“Competitive yacht racing, a relaxed informal social programme and the perfect location for superyachts – it does not get any better!”
The Superyacht Cup is the longest running superyacht regatta in Europe, a favourite with yacht owners, friends, captains and crew who visit Palma de Mallorca annually for the four day event. With warm early summer conditions and reliable sea breezes, the Bay of Palma offers some of the most idyllic racing conditions in the Mediterranean. The racing is run by the highly experienced international Race Officers and the team at Real Club Nautico de Palma. The participating superyachts are all moored together stern-to in the Superyacht Cup Regatta Village located at Muelle Viejo with the iconic Palma Cathedral and Palm tree lined Paseo Maritimo providing a stunning back-drop.
Claasen yachts shine on the Bay of Palma.
Day one of the 20th edition of the Superyacht Cup Palma saw Claasen yachts shine on the Bay of Palma. Truly Classic 127 Atalante lined up to race in Class B, in what is her second ever superyacht regatta, and her first outing since winning the World Superyacht Award for sailing yachts 30-39metres.
Superyacht Cup veteran, Truly Classic 78 Heartbeat, designed by Hoek Naval Architects, returned to the race ready to once again battle for the cup on the waters of the Bay of Palma. In her class were six fellow campaigners, primed to push each other to the limit.

Day one of racing dawned clear, as strategy was discussed up and down the dock. Joining Truly Classic 127 Atalante in her second regatta were special guests including Claasen CEO Joachim Kieft, Hoek Design’s Andre Hoek, and journalists excited to experience this gracious yacht up close.
And then they were off and racing. It was a day of high drama on the course, with mere seconds separating yachts as they rounded the marks.

Atalante crossed the line 15 minutes after leader P2 with a tight finish across the whole class, while in Class C, Heartbeat crossed 17 minutes after the leader.
Day two of racing is underway now, with coastal courses making the most of a clear day; stay tuned for results!
