Mistral returns!….. All regattas are canceled. Animations and music in Voiles Village. For those who are moored in the Gulf, getting back to shore for the festivities, became challenging…

 

 

 

Tuesday October 1st – Regatta Day 3

 

The anniversary edition of Les Voiles has kicked off in a blaze of glory for every group, from the IRCs and Wallys among the Modern craft, to the small and large Marconis or gaffers among the Classics, the first race was ticked off, teasing onlookers with a hint of the upcoming prize winners. • Monday September 30th:
  (9 am) Blessing of the boats by the parish priest of Saint Tropez.
  (11 am) Coastal racing for modern sailboats. (cancelled on account of (Mistral) weather.)
  Port of Saint Tropez Musical entertainment and live band in the Village and City of Sails.
• Tuesday October 1st:
  (11 am) Coastal racing for modern sailboats
  (12 am) Coastal racing for traditional sailboats, and Rolex Trophy
  “Sardinade Party” offered by the SNSM with live music
  20th Anniversary Party (by invitation)
• Wednesday October 2nd:
  (11 am) Coastal racing for modern sailboats.
  (12 am) Coastal racing for traditional sailboats, and Rolex Trophy
  (12 am) Optimist Regatta
  (6 pm) Crew Parade: to celebrate the 20th anniversary, prepare your costumes !!!
• Thursday October 3rd:
  (12 am) Challenges Day: 55 Club Cup Day Dick Jayson
  (12 am) Centenarian Trophy (Gstaad Yacht Club) The event, raced in a pursuit format with staggered starts; the first boat to cross the line off the Saint Tropez breakwater will be declared the winner.
  (6:30 pm) Crew Parade, the winner will win the captain’s weight in Tropezian wine (Chevalier Torpez)
  Gstaad Yacht Club Centenary Trophy prize giving (on invitation)

2019 Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez

Three hundred classic and modern boats: the 20th anniversary of Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez is the main event for the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez and it’s set to appeal to Both enthusiasts and the general public. From 28 September to 6 October, the show will be bursting at the seams once again, Taking up all the space on shore, in and around the harbor and every alleyway of the legendary town in France’s Var department, as well as at sea, in and around the Gulf of Saint Tropez. It’s not every day you’re 20!
