No Reserve of Mariska & Mariquita brings disappointing results

Two of the most beautiful yachts sailing today (originally commissioned by the same owner) sell far below estimates at the Artcurial Auction in Paris, venue for mostly vintage cars.

• 1908 William Fife III Mariska – Lot number 62 – After only two bids selling with no reserve for 320,000€. Price estimate were 700,000 € – 1,500,000 €
• 1911 William Fife III Mariquita – Lot number 64 – Similar results with only two bids….selling with no reserve for 420,000 €. Estimates were valued between 900,000 €- 1,700,000 €
