Co-Sponsoring Yacht Clubs, Nantucket Yacht Club and the Great Harbor Yacht Club, Every year in the third weekend of August, the island of Nantucket (Massachusetts, USA), a prestigious tourist resort south of the celebrated peninsula of Cape Cod, hosts the Opera House Cup, the second leg of the North American Circuit of the Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge.

1st Place “Quest” (CRF Rating 35.2)

Quest The 8 Metre was partially built in 1929-1930 by Fife III family’s yard in Fairlie, Scotland, then shipped to Oakville, Canada, with a complete set of instructions for final assembly and launching. Spent her entire life in fresh water until 2011. One of three “eights” owned by Ronald and Diane Palm, and is one of an active fleet of 8-Meters that race in the summer out of the Royal Canadian Yacht Club in Toronto.

SPIRIT of TRADITION DIVISION

1st Place “Equus” (CRF Rating )

Equus was designed by Brooklin Boat Yard’s present day Chief Designer Robert Stephens and built by Rockport Marine EQUUS is well known to the New England and Caribbean traditional boat racing set. (Specifications: LOA: 46′9″ * LWL: 34′0″ * Beam: 11’0″ * Draft 8’0″ * Sail Area: 981 sq ft)
