This story and boat remind me so much of one of which I have some firsthand knowledge. That is the story of the 1911 Herreshoff “P” class (cutter) JOYANT restored in the early two thousands by Jeff Rutherford in San Diego for Bill O’Neil of Tylenol. Hopefully, now that Bill has passed, she will remain in family hands or pass to others who will pump as much love into her as Bill did.
