Representing a graceful aesthetic mixed up with an amazing performance, the 34.95m sailing yacht Project Protos is designed by the respected US studio Reichel/Pugh Yacht Design. The Project Protos superyacht is a spectacular racer, reflecting the classical elegance of a bygone era combined with a modern underbody.
The classic superyacht Project Protos can be built of alloy or composite to suit the owner with an option for a fixed or lifting keel. The teak covered deck is simply laid out for functional crew ergonomics with a small crew complement; all the winches are hydraulically powered by push button.
The mast is specified as high-modulus carbon with carbon rigging, swept back spreaders and non-overlapping jibs. Elegant teak decks with a low bulwark complement the classic lines of the deck geometry while maintaining functionality for racing.
Under deck the 34.95m luxury yacht Project Protos is modern and comfortable with a main salon that features extensive seating areas on port and starboard, enclosed head and separate shower forward, a twin navigation station on the port side aft of the main salon and a galley on the starboard side aft complement interior without compromising comfort.
Reichel/Pugh Yacht Design is developing the structural design in-house and builds upon the success and experience of the design office’s engineering team in providing complete composite/metal structural design analysis and solutions. Construction scantlings will meet the latest ISAF Offshore Special Regulation Category “1″ requirements with Plan Approval services to be provided by Germanischer Lloyd.
