The Hurricane of 1954


The Hurricane of 1954 (Carol), one of the worst tropical cyclones on record to affect the New England region of the United States, the Bounty was washed, by a storm surge of 8 to 13-feet, far ashore, in Woods Hole, Massachusetts, with considerable damage.
