The Hagerty Education Program at America’s Car Museum awards $20,000 in scholarship funds for students at the

IYRS School of Boatbuilding & Restoration.

Newport, Rhode Island – IYRS School of Technology & Trades is pleased to announce a grant award of $20,000 from The Hagerty Education Program at America’s Car Museum (HEP). These grant funds will support four scholarships in the amount of $5000 each, for students who meet financial need criteria in the IYRS Boatbuilding & Restoration program. The students who will be awarded these scholarships will be named the Hagerty Education Program Boat Restoration Scholars.

For 20 years, IYRS has been providing accredited experiential education programs, preparing students to work in industries that support making, building, preservation and restoration. IYRS students, including women and veterans, develop deeply technical and craft-based industrial skills that have produced a 90+% job placement rate for the school.

“We are honored to partner with The Hagerty Education Program at America’s Car Museum,” said IYRS president Terry Nathan. “This generous scholarship support is vital to many talented applicants to the school who otherwise could not financially afford an IYRS education. “
